Best Ever Hockey Betting in 2010 Playoffs

The term “best ever” is just too easily placed on almost each aspect of sports gambling and it has lost most of its potency, but to claim that the 2010 NHL playoff hockey gambling was the greatest ever would as real a statement as you could make.

Without risk of hyperbole this year’s NHL playoff gambling was the greatest that sports gambling fanatics have seen so far.

The Washington Capitals were already assumed by most hockey odds makers as the Stanley Cup gambling winners before the NHL playoff odds competition even commenced and anybody that made an early hockey bet on the ultimate champ almost certainly put their money on Washington as well.

And if it wasn’t Washington then it’d be the Pittsburgh Penguins, the squad that each hockey gambling enthusiast knew would definitely compete vs the Capitals in the Eastern Conference playoff gambling. Everyone was so sure that the Caps and the Pens were going to meet up in the playoff hockey gambling competition that the Ovechkin versus Crosby series was gaining more hype than the Stanley Cup gambling odds.

As it turned out, neither squad made it pretty far in the NHL playoff gambling. Washington, by far the best squad in the normal season hockey gambling (121 points) was bounced in the 1st round by the #8 seed Montreal Canadiens. But they would hardly be the only upset. The truth is, the Pens 1st round win was the only NHL playoff gambling series on that side of the bracket that the higher seed wonvout of all the playoff series in the Eastern conference. And that means a lot fanatics that made hockey bets lost money, but man, what an intriguing way to lose.

The reality that a #7 seed and a #8 seed competed for the Eastern Conference championship says a lot about how major of a role that upsets competed in this year’s NHL playoff gambling. And that’s to claim nothing of the gripping comeback that the Flyers staged vs the Bruins, winning 4 straight games after dropping into a 3- hole versus the Bruins.

Game 2 was the only competition in the this hockey gambling series that had the look and feel of a traditional NHL gambling victors as it concluded in a hard-fought 2-1 win of for the Blackhawks. But that’s been the exception as opposed to the rule during the 2010 Stanley Cup gambling event. Game 3 was another high scoring occasion with the Flyers gaining their 1st win in the NHL odds series 4-3. The teams put together for all the more goals in Game 5, another Flyers win, 5-3.

The 2010 Stanley Cup gambling competition has been offensive for many hockey purists. After all, hockey gambling hasn’t usually been about high scores and double digit goal totals. And there’s truly no way to overlook the awful play in goal of both team’s goal tenders throughout this NHL gambling series.

But there is also no way to argue that the high scoring games have raised the profile of NHL gambling among sports fanatics and helped to attract casual sports gambling fanatics.

If you’re a hockey gambling enthusiast savor it, as we might have only seen the greatest NHL playoff gambling season ever and we may never see another NHL playoff run as exciting and unpredictable as what we saw in 2010.
